Bio

Lianna is a self-taught multidisciplinary artist, curator, artivist, educator, art and colour therapist from Southeast Asia. From a very young age, she was driven by her curiosity to learn, leading her to an art practice today that includes expressing in a multitude of mediums ranging from acrylic painting, printmaking, design, textile art, new media, digital painting, and photography. She practices art as a way of life and is constantly exploring different styles and mediums as a means of expression. She believes in the meditative and therapeutic power of art to facilitate transformation, growth, and healing. When she creates art, she becomes focused, curious, and playful. Much of Lianna’s work has been motivated by a desire to bring out what is beyond the surface, responding to issues and events experienced in her life and the people in the world. She hopes to communicate messages of love, empowerment, and inspiration through her art, and to catalyse and galvanise positive social change.
