Description

Melancholy is the third work belonging to the triptych of the "Statue cities". Melancholy analyzes, like the other images of the cycle, the urbanization process as a global cultural phenomenon and the individual within society through the inclusion in a metropolis of a giant statue surmounted by buildings. The statue precisely symbolizes the discomfort of the individual devoured by the uncertainties produced by the urban environment and by the homologation of the single symptom of today's capitalism.
