CURATORIAL STATEMENT

Since beginning his digital art journey in 2001, VanDi has explored various mediums such as photography, film, and, most recently, digital drawing. In 2021, he began creating work that combined his love of traditional painting and digital media and began minting them as NFTs on chain. Earlier this year, while recovering from Covid, VanDi began a new series of digital abstract paintings titled "Color Abstractions." The artworks in this series sit somewhere between Bauhous-style and Abstract-Expressionist style while leaning into modern color combinations that result in playful harmonious images. Each piece is designed to work both as physical and digital wall art. Owners of these 1 of 1 NFTs will also have the option to receive a print of the artwork on Hahnemuhle exhibition archival photo rag papers printed with Chromium ink to create the illusion of transparency and depth among the layered shapes.
