CURATORIAL STATEMENT

“More than a homage, I'd like to give a broader concept of the name "Lady" Bird. A female noble title, a title prefixed to the name of a goddess, like the Mother Nature, she nourishes, provides, cares, welcomes everyone. She is the bridge that connects lives and accommodates differences. Despite controversies LadyBird Lake prevailed and carries good vibes to this piece of paradise.”

“This work was inspired by the Mexican free-tailed bats that live in the Austin Texas Congress Bridge environment. Particularly, the way the bats fly as a group. Humans can learn a thing or two from bats, moving together as one. My art piece celebrates and amplifies the cooperative nature that can be seen when the bats fly in unison, a metaphor for human behavior. ”

“To persevere in the face of fear, uncertainty & doubt is a trait worth preserving. This work is my homage to the Austin artists who've struggle to afford living in the capital city of Texas. The display encapsulates the American version of world historical treatment to anyone who is not white. The importance of memorializing Western Civilization is an important conversation on racism in America as a continuum. It's our duty; my duty as an Artist to display the facts anytime we encounter it.”

“Blue Planet (1400 × 1864) an observation of New Mexico. The dry plains, poverty stricken and abandoned homesteads blanket the vast desert fields for miles. The desolation is catastrophic. Coupled with territorial crime and lack of societal needs the question for the Native American lifestyle is really: do we have this wrong and you right? Why ask this? The Native American lives entirely by hunting, gathering, nesting. These needs are so minimal, it makes a passerby question American Values. Indigenous people are, is a conversation important for the NFT Community in the continuum of progress and identification. ”
