Bio

Carolina de Bartolo is currently Director of Design at Art Blocks, a platform for generative art on the blockchain. Prior to joining Art Blocks, she was an instructor at Academy of Art University in San Francisco for over 20 years. Her book, Explorations in Typography, was awarded a TDC Certificate of Excellence as well as inclusion in the best books of the year at the AIGA+DesignObserver competition, 50 Books/50 Covers. Carolina is a graduate of the College of Fine Arts at Carnegie Mellon University, where she was traditionally trained in drawing, painting, printmaking, photography, and design. Her recent work in collaboration with artificial intelligence reflects her love of paper, typography, grids, and color.
