I flew out to Miami for Art Week/ Art Basel Miami. The airport was huge and overwhelming like a maze, there was so much going on even at 5am in the morning. At that time I was in awe of the size of the planes, the worry of boarding, and the confusion in the lines. There was a  sadness of missing my family and fear of doing something I had never done before. When I got to Miami, I was able to stay with an amazing group of artists and friends. I had so much fun, meant amazing people, and tried new things. Now, as I sit in an airport once again, I have similar feelings. I am ready to get on my plane, worried about the flight, sad that my week has ended, but so so relieved to go home and see my family. It’s such an overwhelming amount of emotions. This piece was finished today, as I sorted through it all.
