Drawings and paintings of hands are some of the earliest known Art. ~45,500 years ago artists created figurative and narrative Art in Southeast Asia, the place now known as Indonesia, in Leang Tedongnge cave, on the island of Sulawesi. This ancient Art includes paintings of peoples’ own hands as a form of self-portrait. 

Our hands, as artists, are also the metaphorical ‘hand of the artist.’ As a metaphor, the ‘hand of the artist’ means our own unique styles and our special vision, our ‘touch.’ Tracing these touches from ancient times to today, we find ourselves in The Fourth Industrial Revolution. Artists can now use AI (Artificial Intelligence) and ML (Machine Learning) systems to generate images. In this Age of AI, my Glitch Art is very much focused on how i, as an artist, touch the Art, transforming it into my own unique vision of 金山 (goldMountain).
