CURATORIAL STATEMENT
These past few years have brought immense pressure for artists to conform to the NFT market. But there’s a change in the air. The market has slowed. Now is the time for artists to rethink their trajectories and to unleash their creativity. This is a chance to be a part of history, to make something beautiful in the years when other artists were silent. A time that you’ll look back on with fond memories, knowing that you dug deep and kept creating, even when no one was watching. Will you return to your pre-crypto roots or embark on an adventure with new mediums, vibrant colors, and cutting-edge technologies? What ignites your inspiration in those unseen moments? With absolute freedom and a blank canvas, what will you bring to life? Curated by Virginia Valenzuela and Chris Kokiousis Presented live at Superchief Gallery NFT in New York City
EYE OF STORM
“I look to sparks of light cast from the dark ages; beacons reminiscent of futures; as notes echoing Hildegard's visions. Exponential truths from all sectors layer into our present while information is sourced of a commoditized intelligence. You are the eye of the beholder. giselx.art”
Stable Perspective
“In a vast expanse so deep and wide, Where stars twinkle, and worlds reside, A neon ring, vibrant and bright, Floats through the night, a glowing light. Upon the grid where futures are cast, Shadows of memories from futures past, Echoes of dreams and tales untold, In this cosmic dance, both young and old. A grid of paths, a map to the stars, Guiding us past Jupiter and Mars, Where horizons bend and time does fold, The universe's secrets, slowly unrolled. In the silent embrace of the infinite night, The neon ring shines with radiant light, A beacon, a guide, through eternity's lace, In this boundless, ever-expanding space.”
Histoires Naturelles –...
“The Night version of the Histoires Naturelles is the favourite version of Arthur and Leon. As soon as we have finished this digital twists they asked me if they could have this in their bedroom "c'est trop beau, Maman!"”
Histoires Naturelles –...
“For the Night version, I use a couple of Softwares that I call, My Digital Wonders. Since 2019, I can't get bored of loving to reverse the colours on my watercolour. I feel like Alice, falling in the rabbit hole, and seing the world in a new manner. The soft and gentle shades of the watercolours start to pop and stand out. This is always a magical time when I start playing with the Digital Tools and twists my imagination.”
Bijou
“I created this artwork when I felt there was an enormous amount of pressure on my art career and also as a person. Adulting becomes harder and people change. Living abroad, I also have faced prejudice too. However, I turn pain into passion. My art will always stand for something in my life and the worlds I create. The stories I want to share. That will never change about me.”
Yellow Wandering
“This work is very special to me, it´s a "Yellow" work, and it means hope, happiness, sun, and color, despite I am wandering for an unknown city, I am happy. I am gonna sleep here tonight.”
Just Hodl It
“A tribute to the icons of decentralization, the fight for liberated metaverse, the revolutionary spirit of crypto art and the beauty it gives birth to. What better moment to celebrate the fight if not when the fear is stronger than ever. This too shall pass one day. Just hodl it until it does.”
Bootlicking
“This performance was made on Sept 20th, 2023 at Studio #22C, 545 8th Avenue, NYC, between 5:00 pm and 7:00 pm. Eleven participants confirmed their presence. Eight showed up. One performance had to be aborted for technical reasons. Seven performances were fully completed and presented in the video. The video of the performance has been produced and directed by Pierre Gervois. Director of Photography: Justin Yoon. The artist was wearing a Nina Ricci tie (circa 1970s) belonging to his late father. ”

“A playful interpretation in tune with the spooky season.”
MA'MORTE AND CHILD
“A BEGINNING OF NEW STYLE OF WORK. CONSIDERING THE GEOPOLITICAL DANGERS WE'RE FACING AT THE MOMENT, I CAN THINK NOTHING MORE THAN PUTTING A VISUAL MIRROR TO THE HORRORS OF HUMANITY, IT'S 2023 AND WE HAVEN'T LEARNED A DAMNED THING YET. IF WE DON'T GET IT RIGHT THIS CENTURY, THIS MIGHT BE OUR LAST. WAR HAS NEVER NEVER BEEN THE ANSWER, WE NEED PEACE. #GAZA #ISRAEL #WARISNEVERTHEANSWER #CRYPTOART #PEACEISTHEONLYWAY”

“Part of "The Resistance" collection.”
Histoires Naturelles –...
“The vision of (one of) the Artist, Arthur, 7 year old: "It is a speal master pice art because it has slugs." (wrote by himself) The Vision of (one of) the Artist, Leon, 3 year old: “Non!” (he said, shouting) ”
Histoires Naturelles –...
“The vision of (one of) the Artist, Lapin Mignon: "Histoires Naturelles is a collection of Art that echoes to the Natural Story of Art Randomisation Manifesto, written by the Artist Lapin Mignon, 11th August 2023, embracing the Art randomisation in its most natural process while the world was bracing itself to the emerging domination of AI (Artificial Intelligence). Histoires Naturelles aims to celebrate how minuscule we are when we face the force of nature, from the simple drop of a rain, the caress of an insect, to the beauty of childhood. Il etait une Limace is a triptych depicting the jolly life of slugs as never seen before – A journey to a wild contemplation, with little beings wandering in the depth of our imaginary world." ”
La Muerte Que Da La Vi...
“Understanding death has always been an interest of mine as long as I can remember, probably because of coming face to face with it so often from a young age. However, since my mother's suicide a few years ago, I've been in deep mourning. It has been a complex journey unpacking the emotions around when an abuser - who I did love because she was my mother and I was raised very protestant Christian - dies. There is relief of no more suffering knowing she was tortured herself but sorrow for the redemption you hope for but will never experience. A huge point of healing for me is the understanding and acceptance of death in Mexican culture as part of life contrasted against the United States antiseptic and suppressive death industrial complex. One figure I see around Mexico City a lot is Santa Muerte. While her worship is controversial at best, for me as someone who has lost their mother I find comfort in the figure of death as a woman as a symbol as the title says "Death that gives Life".”
Histoires Naturelles –...
“The Natural Artists of the triptych: - A pouring British Summer Rain in the United Kingdom on the 14th July 2023 - One of the cutest Slug ever, crawling on the drenched paper - The freed watercolour strips running on the paper. - My sons, Arthur, 7-year-old, and Leon, 3-year-old. - And me, Lapin Mignon, constantly trying to balance the Art of Randomisation. Media: Watercolour, Golden and Bronze pigments, Black and Blue ink, and some Digital Wonders.”

“Circuitous tools are part of The World After Us: Imaging techno-aesthetic futures, a series and traveling exhibition of media sculptures that materially speculate on what our devices – phones and tablets, computers and displays, etc – might become, over thousands or millions of years. I have artificially aged iPhones ("Phossils"), sprouted mushrooms from watches ("Server Farms"), and blended Samsung Galaxies into a powder, then mixed that with oil, to produce "Phoney Ink" for printmaking. Circuitous tools are routed circuit boards turned into a "Hack saw," "Haxe," and "Trowel" - asking viewers to be curious and imagine, to speculate and propose what else e-waste might be and do, after us. Purchase of this 1/1 NFT on the primary market comes with the original, physical sculpture and its custom wall mount. Use the token-gated Iterati platform once the NFT is in your wallet. Buyer pays $100 shipping in US; pls contact for international shipping.”
Wonderful Mirror of Ja...
“This work is based on the "Meikyo Yamato-damashii shinpan (Wonderful Mirror of Japanese Soul, Newly Published)" created by Japanese painter Kyosai Kawanabe in 1874. In the Meiji era (1868-1912), he presented his work as resistance to the rapid westernization of Japanese society. However, is it resistance or tolerance that is important in the contemporary world of numerous and ever-increasing divisions? Referring to Shibuya in Tokyo as a video game stage, this work, in which Halloween in the West and Hyakki Yagyo (Night Parade of One Hundred Demons) in the East, and the real and the virtual coexist, revels in the various differences in the world and enshrines the soul. In Japanese folk belief, long-aged materials are believed to have a soul. These are called Tsukumo (ninety-ninth or #ffffff), and their nightly parade is called Hyakki Yagyo. This digital data will also have a soul after long ages.”
