““Cryptographic Power” is a manifestation of my own personal need to express new forms of interactive storytelling. Hidden messages are embedded within her, only viewable in augmented reality. As a NATIVE Austinite, I’ve placed this figure glyph at a special location in Austin, Texas. Using the “wallet to world” technology on the site the.illust.space, a unique GPS location is assigned to this NFT. You can visit her in front of a mural by Chris Rogers. Can you find the mural and the hidden message inside her? This is one of the first mixed reality NFTs built into a play to earn blockchain game based in Austin. Each NFT acts as a time capsule preserving what otherwise would be lost to future generations. Players can claim POP (proof of presence) tokens as they complete challenges within the game. “This collection of eight digital sculptures is inspired by Dia al-Azzawi’s grandson, Freddie, whose enthusiasm for playing and interacting with the world around him is a source of constant joy for him. The work captures this enthusiasm in the form of a toy that any young child might want to play with, which also reflects the energy and passion of youth itself. In Dia’s own words: “I wanted to create a body of work that captures a young child’s energy using the traditional shapes and colours I grew up with. By embracing this connection between the old and the new, the (Freddie collection) allows me to leave a piece of my childhood in the metaverse for future generations to enjoy.” ”

“Sometimes in Texas, you'll get a wild hair, as I'd imagine you might catch anywhere else. Often times, that wild hare will put a nice dinner on your plate and sometimes, well, that wild hair will just get you in a pickle or a heap of trouble. In this instance... it might be a little bit of both. Old Virgil here was kind enough to lend us a few minutes of his time to model, but really - what's time to a horse. BCWags on the other hand - had no time to spare, but I hunted him down like the wild hare said and here we are... talking about men's hairs, horses and fine dining. I'm sure it's someone's birthday out there somewhere and if not, yours is just around the corner. Hope you enjoy this doohickey of a song and more-so, catch yourself some wild hares soon - I hear they're good eatin' and worth the trouble.”

“Floating into ‘Love. Shebang. Disco.’ drew inspiration from a wildly vivid coordinated group activity harmoniously experienced amongst painters, creators, and lovers while drifting downstream of the Hudson River aboard a 2 person kayak with a party of 4. Comfort amongst land was not a certainty and neither was it appetizing to the group of ramblers who have unknowingly become hypnotized by the flowing technicolor water pushing them closer to a waterfall. Blissfully unaware and impervious that some of the floating faces in the water will never be seen again. Love. Shebang. Disco. began as a 5 x 4’ portrait painting utilizing spray paint and acrylic brush work. After a high quality photo was taken, minor digital alterations were applied, and then the animation team at Cryptic Gallery brought the technicolor river to life for its final form.”

“I wanted to capture Reji and her artistry through every tile. Knowing that she was an mosaic artist as well helped me along the way on choosing the right mediums. Reji Thomas is a strong leader in the Black community here in Austin through her works of art and I wanted to embody that through this piece. With the help of The Mosaic Workshop this piece will be used to help further support the causes for Latinita’s. Latinita’s is Austin’s only bilingual STEM education nonprofit for 20 years. The organization has been empowering all girls to innovate through media and technology by providing direct digital media and tech training. - By purchasing this piece you will helping the cause.”
