CURATORIAL STATEMENT
During every winter, we put our optimism to the test. We ring in the new year with dreams, commitments, and hope. We slog through cold air and icy pavement. We fall sometimes, but we try our best to get back up. There’s something about dreams and aspirations that help us through the challenges of life, but more interesting than the dream itself is the outcome of that dream. Do we achieve what we set out to accomplish, or fail and change course? When we succeed–or fail–spectacularly, how do we take that next step into the future? This exhibition aims to weave together different facets of human desire and expectation, taking us on a profound exploration of the human experience. It delves into the depths of our dreams, aspirations, and the complex tapestry of emotions that drive us. It invites us to reflect on the intricacies of our desires and the expectations we have for ourselves and others. This journey offers a unique opportunity for growth, self-discovery, and a deeper understanding of what it means to be human. It is a transformative voyage that challenges us, inspires us, and ultimately shapes who we become.
